“My name is Sarah and I have been a volunteer at Angel’s Wish for 10 years. I started as a youth volunteer when I was 10 years old. I first learned about Angel’s Wish when I went there with my girl scout troop when I was about 8 years old. Right away, I knew that I wanted to volunteer there as soon as I was old enough. I have always had a passion for animals and I loved the idea that I could be a part of helping kitties find forever homes! I now am a Team Leader at the shelter, so my responsibilities include directing other volunteers to various tasks to make sure we are making the most of the help we have, as well as completing tasks such as laundry, cleaning litter boxes, cleaning and disinfecting visiting rooms, answering questions of potential adopters, and more. I hope to continue volunteering at Angel’s Wish and I hope to start fostering kitties as soon as I am able to. I have loved every minute of my time at Angel’s Wish and I cannot wait to continue helping kitties find their forever homes.
I am currently a Sophomore at Edgewood college and am studying elementary education. I also work in the baby room at a daycare in Mount Horeb. With my chaotic schedule, I do not have the time to have pets of my own right now which is why I love coming to Angel’s Wish to get my kitty fix! As soon as my life settles down, I would love to have both dogs and cats! I grew up with them and I miss having them around!”
