Olie has been waiting too long

Olie

My name is Olie and I am a friendly boy who likes to just hang out. Well, most of the time. I still get my spurts of playfulness and enjoy some good play with wand toys. I will reward you for your attention with licks and pull your hand back to me if you try to stop petting me. I would like a calm, quiet home and I make a good foot warmer, if you need that. I am a good housemate and will be sure to remind you when it is meal time. Can I be your new alarm clock?

Olie has tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) antibodies. What does this mean? Olie has a compromised immune system and may need some extra medical attention throughout his life. He can share food, water, litter boxes, blankets, homes, and humans with other cats and not transmit the virus to them (or to humans or to other animals). He can live just as long and healthy of a life as FIV- cats. On a day-to-day basis, not much will be different for Olie than for other cats.

To read more about living with FIV+ cats, read our Q&A with Heidi, who has adopted two FIV+ cats: https://angelswish.org/fiv-qa/

Angel’s Wish Forget-Me-Nots are cats and kittens that have been with us longer than average. It could be because they are a bonded pair, are a little bit shy, or have FIV. Maybe they had a medical concern that took us a while to work through. Sometimes, though, we have no idea what is taking so long! These kitties all deserve love. Don’t let them be forgotten!
