So it’s been 10 days since Houston was adopted, and I read his foster family note carefully. They called him Lover boy and it made me want to name him after a poet I really like, Bécquer. (pronounced becker/bekker)

He’s a super snuggly kitten who loves attention and Da Bird toys. He loves sleeping in his cat tree, and he is moving into a grain free diet.

He sleeps with his cat mom (me!) if he’s feeling like he wants someone around, and on his cat tree if he doesn’t. He likes to help me type my essays and study for exams.

He’s the best cat and he comes when called, is already rocking his pineapple collar, and he’s so polite in that he doesn’t eat people food.

He’s the best first cat that the good Lord could have led me to, and I feel like I should be thanking you all – it’s a pleasure to be able to have this purring machine of a kitten around.
