Q: What is your professional background?
A: I have worked for the state of Wisconsin for the past 15 years in human resources

Q: How long have you been volunteering for Angel’s Wish?
A: I became a volunteer in November 2015

Q: Why did you choose Angel’s Wish?
A: When I moved to Madison 6 years ago, both my beloved cats passed away within the first year. When I was ready to adopt again I was connected with Angel’s Wish through my co-worker. I have since adopted three wonderful kitties from AW! When I was looking for a volunteer opportunity, AW was a perfect way to blend my love of cats with helping people.

Q: What are your volunteering duties?
A: I started working in the kitty condo room and soon moved on to cashiering in the retail area. We also foster kitties.

Q: What pets do you have?
A: We have three cats from AW, a 10 year old Cairn Terrier and a 8 year old lab mix

Q: What is most satisfying about volunteering at Angel’s Wish?
A: Helping people and kitties find each other and fulfill both their lives. I love reading the updates about our cats and their new families. I’ve been fortunate to help unite some special kitties with their new homes. Being a foster parent is also really rewarding. We enjoy helping kittens socialize and learn how to be part of a family.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share about your experiences at Angel’s Wish?
A: AW is run by volunteers and I’m very impressed by how professional and well-run it is. Everyone here loves the animals and truly believes in the mission of our organization. I’m quite proud to be a part of such a terrific place.
