Celebrating Giving Tuesday, a global celebration of generosity

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Join the movement and please donate to help animals like Possum, Bobbin, Thimble and Stitch.

Possum was found surviving on garbage scraps outside a bowling alley and brought to us by a caring individual. Her young life looked pretty bleak. Not only was she malnourished and fighting a skin infection, she was also very close to giving birth. Angel’s Wish was all to happy to help.
Once safely in the arms of an Angel’s Wish foster family, Possum began to regain her own health as she got ready to birth her kittens. As we sometimes see with our young mama cats,  lack of nutrition and stress from being on her own made it difficult for her to deliver an entire litter of healthy kittens. Sadly, only 3 of 6 survived.   Bobbin, Thimble and Stitch are now thriving in their foster home despite being born with various eye defects. They love to run, play and snuggle just like any other kittens, but their foster mom had needed to put drops in their eyes up to 5x a day for their comfort. What if there was a way to help?
Angel’s Wish is lucky to have the support of several vets in the area that help cats get what they need. Whether it’s donating surgical time, helping with medical costs, helping to advertise adoptable cats or being a sounding board for ideas, we appreciate them coming alongside our efforts.
In the case of Possum’s babies, Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic felt their lives could be improved by a procedure of grafting eyelids and preventing their eyelashes from scratching their eyes.  Through our medical fund, Angel’s Wish was able to fund their surgeries while Sauk Point Vet donated their time.
Thankfully the procedure worked! They are comfortable, require less daily eye care and can get back to being playful kittens waiting for forever homes to welcome them.
Possum and her kittens are well on their way to living their best lives thanks to the generosity and medical support of Saul Point Veterinary Clinic. Without the generosity of our donors and support of area vets, Angel’s Wish could not help kittens like Possum and her babies.
