Happy Ending: Trillium (formerly Annie)

Trillium

Trillium

Annie was rescued by Melissa, one of our dedicated foster moms, last autumn. She was a very lucky kitty to be found when she was. We discovered that she had a severe break in her left back leg. It was so damaged that her leg could not be saved. Thanks to the generosity of numerous donors on her GoFundMe page, Annie’s leg was amputated and she adjusted quickly to a life as a “tripod.”

Her new mom, Beth, recently wrote to us to give a 6 month update: “Annie (now Trillium) has settled in well and loves to sit at our windows and watch birds and chipmunks. We also have a neighbor that has peacocks that occasionally wander into our yard and those are big, interesting birds to watch too. 🙂 Her favorite toy is the green fuzzy mouse we got at Angel’s Wish and she brings it with her everywhere. The picture is the morning she presented it to me once last week. Otherwise, having three legs doesn’t seem to bother her and it keeps her off the kitchen counters, so, we’re all happy about that. She’s been a great addition to our family.”
